Integrated Circuit First
Integrated Circuit First. The idea of integrating electronic circuits into a single device was born when the German physicist and engineer Werner Jacobi. All computers then started to be made using chips instead of the individual transistors.
These circuits are application specific.i.e The designer only has liability to change interconnection between transistors using the first few metal. They are the ubiquitous little black "chips" you find on just about every circuit board. The first integrated circuit was developed by two gentlemen - Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce.
The term IC (integrated circuit) implies uniting various components in structurally single devices.
A monolithic integrated circuit (also known as IC, microchip, silicon chip, computer chip or chip) is a miniaturized electronic circuit (consisting mainly of semiconductor devices, as well as passive components).
Integrated circuit, an assembly of electronic components with miniature devices built up on a semiconductor substrate. All computers then started to be made using chips instead of the individual transistors. The integrated circuit concept was first suggested by British radar engineer G.
